FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Q1: What grade average is required to access the Higher School of Biological Sciences of Oran?

A1: To select the Higher School of Biological Sciences of Oran as an option, it is necessary to obtain a general grade average equal to or higher than 13/20 in the baccalaureate exam. The ranking is based on the overall grade average obtained in the baccalaureate, taking into account certain weighting criteria according to the baccalaureate series.

Average weighted grade = ((Baccalaureate grade average * 2) + natural science grade) / 3

For the Technical Maths series, it refers to the grade average obtained in the baccalaureate.

However, it is important to note that the admission grade average to the Higher School of Biological Sciences of Oran may vary depending on the demand and the number of available educational positions. Having an average weighted grade of 13.0 does not guarantee automatic admission to the school. The admission grade average corresponds to the average of the last candidate who chose the school. For example: if there are 150 available positions and the 150th-ranked candidate has an average grade of 15.5, the admission grade average will be 15.5.
